So this was my first attempt at a king cake. I feel it turned out pretty well. And it was super yummy. Though we still have some left and no one was crowned king.

Belated B-Day Party
So, this past Saturday we had a belated birthday bash, er, get together for Tarehna. Her birthday, as you may know, was way back on Christmas, but what with the snowpacolypse and everything we had to postpone the festivities until, yes, Feb 21. Anyway, here is a cross section shot of the awesome rainbow cupcakes Tarehna made for everybody.

Finn Swings
Went to the park the other day and had a great time. Preston told all the other kids his name was Luke and that I was Sarah Jane. He's a big fan of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Finn swung for the second time, and despite what it may sound like he was really enjoying himself.

Happy Valentine's Day
We did some crafts and had a pretty good time. Preston made this all by himself. And even though Tarehna tried to explain that arrows through hearts has to do with Cupid and love, he decided it meant they were dead. Good times

Egg cup ant
Preston got the idea to do this off a CBBC show called Mister Maker.
It's his new favorite show. Maybe we'll do a pasta robot next.

Chalkboard table from above
So, we painted the dining room table with chalkboard paint. It's great for just drawing and might be useful for keeping score on game night. You know, if we ever got around to actually doing game night.
