So, we just had Finn's 3rd birthday party. This kid is huge! As big as a four year old. Anyway, when Tarehna asked Finn what kind of party he wanted he said "unicorn." So unicorn it was. Unicorn toys and pointy party hats and ice cream cones on cupcakes. We had a great time and Finn loved it so much. Our good friends brought their copies of Glee for Wii and we all sung. Wanted to share some art the boys have done recently. They have been drawing like crazy this month. Both have gotten really good.Here's a little guy Finn drew. It looks a lot like the guys Preston used to draw.Here's two worlds coming together to do something that I couldn't really understand, but it sure looks super cool.And a collaborative piece. My adventures in pies continues. This one is a banana cream pie with coconut and peanut butter chips on top. There are banana slices on the bottom of the crust topped with pastry cream and then a whipped topping. So yummy if I do say so myself

The first Sunday after tax day Hawthorne businesses host a pirate treasure hunt. You go around to a bunch of the businesses and answer questions and at the end you get a prize. Good times. Also fun to see pirates walking all over on both sides of the street.

This past weekend we took a little day trip to the coast and stopped by the Tillamook Cheese Factory before heading home. Let's just say it is AWESOME! Here's a little video tribute. This is a part of the factory where cheese blocks are vacuum sealed and moved along. More posts and pics to come on recent activities.

I am sick and my brain is not working well so this will be brief. Preston did some crafts. We had corned beef and cabbage, Guinness, and green cupcakes. A good time was had by all. My favorite quote of the day: "Why do we have to do Irishy things today?" from the Dub. Good times.

Went to the park the other day and had a great time. Preston told all the other kids his name was Luke and that I was Sarah Jane. He's a big fan of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Finn swung for the second time, and despite what it may sound like he was really enjoying himself.
